ELDER ACADEMY 基元長者學苑

基元中學長者學苑由中華基督教會基元中學及博愛醫院王東源夫人長者地區中心合辦，以”長幼共融”為理念，推動學生參與長者服務，回饋社會。課程多元化，有長者電腦班、手工藝班、馬戲技巧訓練班等，另舉辦長者健康講座，導師主要為本校學生。期望本學苑能促進青少年與長者的接觸，學習相處之道，亦讓長者能持續進修，實踐終身學習的理念。

Kei Yuen Elder Academy is established by CCC Kei Yuen College and Pok Oi Hospital Mrs. Wong Tung Yuen District Elderly Community Centre. Based on the concept of the integration of elderly and children, we encourage students to participate in elderly service and contribute to the society. There are diversify classes including classes teaching computer, handicraft and juggling performance, etc. Besides, there are also health seminars for the elderly. The tutors are mainly students. We hope for more contact between teenagers and the elderly as well as learning to get along with each other. And we also hope to encourage the elderly to continue their education and promote the philosophy of lifelong learning.
