Curriculum

Aims

  1. To develop a happy learning environment, enhance students′ interest in learning and foster a positive attitude towards learning.
  2. To provide quality education, enable students to learn how to learn and help them equip with the nine generic skills, namely collaboration skills, communication skills, creativity, critical thinking skills, information technology skills, numeracy skills, problem-solving skills, self-management skills and study skills.
  3. To recognize students′ individuality and pay close attention to the differences between students′ learning abilities and their learning interests, and provide them with chances to develop their potential.
  4. To nurture thinking, self-reflective and responsible teenagers who possess dreams and value their life.

Strategies for bridging the Junior Secondary and Senior Secondary curriculum

A. Developing students' learning to learn skills through learning strategies and generic skills training.

B. Enhancing students' learning motivation through promoting reading and inquiry-based learning.

C. Enriching students' other learning experiences in different aspects including art, social services, job-related experience and moral and civic education through the providing a wide spectrum of learning activities.
